Rooms at the Elms
This floor accommodates the under two’s. A self contained baby unit with changing area, milk kitchen, sleeping area and play room. The baby room has its own adjacent safety surface play area.
The 2-5 year children are accommodated on this level with access to three playrooms.
There is also a new sensory room on this floor for the children to enjoy.
The nursery grounds include a large open grassed area, with mature shrubs and trees and a separate children’s fun area. The under two’s play area joins the nursery garden, and a shared play area for the 2-5 year is at the rear of the premises, adjacent to the children’s garden walk.
All children are taken for regular walks around the local area, with parents permission.
All children have the opportunity for weekly sessions in our Forest School. The Forest School is based in the wildest area in our grounds. At Forest School children develop their skills in all areas of the curriculum and work individually and as a team to complete their tasks. They also have the chance of working on a 1:1 with a member of staff to use saws, drills and other tools and equipment.
